A heartwarming community celebration was held at the annual St James’ Primary School, Banora Point, Fete. The day was filled with excitement as the community came out in droves to celebrate and support their school, brightening up a beautiful winter’s day.
The day did not disappoint. The irresistible aroma of sweet cakes and sausage filled the air around the numerous stalls covered with lush plants and mouthwatering food that lined the school playground manned by parents and staff.
‘It was so nice to see our school community come together and enjoy the day. Everyone you saw, from adults to children, had a smile on their faces. Not sure if it was the activities, food, or lollies but definitely something for everyone!’ said parent Casey Snart.
There were many, many fun activities: face painting, hair crafts, putt-putt golf, craft stalls, jumping castles, laser tag, a photo booth, a petting zoo, and a scavenger hunt around the school, which led to the answer of 'Family in Christ.’
‘It’s always a pleasure being involved in school events, and it was particularly wonderful to see not only our St James families but members of the broader community have such a lovely day as well,’ said parent Katrina Renwick.
This fantastic event raised over $16,000 to support students' learning and wellbeing.
