2020 First Day of School - Call for Photos

Accreditation News - Proficiency Applications
The NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) have released new Proficient Teacher accreditation functions in eTAMS. Staff who are seeking proficiency can now apply via your NESA online account.
The offline process will still be available until the end of Term 2, 2020. After that date, all teachers need to finalise their Proficient Teacher accreditation online in eTAMS. Teachers working in the Lismore Diocese who wish to utilise the offline process are advised that they need to submit by 1 June 2020 in order to allow time for revisions that may be needed.

Southern Cross University School of Education Reunion

Southern Cross University is hosting a School of Education Reunion on Saturday, 22 February 2020 at 2.30-4.30pm at the Deck and Lounge, Southern Cross University, Lismore Campus, Military Road, Lismore.
An invitation is extended to everyone who has graduated with an education degree from Southern Cross or its predecessor institutions to attend. You are welcome to bring your family.

Staff are reminded that individuals are required to register for all professional learning courses through the My Learning site. The site has the facility to recommend courses to others. This will be potentially useful for Principals and Assistant Principals who wish to recommend staff to register for particular courses.
Staff are reminded that the closing date for courses is five working days prior to the course.

Graduate To Proficient Teacher Formation Program 2020
The formation program for Graduate Teachers is a two-year program for early career teachers. Teachers in their first and second years of teaching in the Diocese of Lismore participate in eight face-to-face days across the two-year period. The program includes important learning and formation that is vital for early career teachers. Teachers in their first year (Group A) and second year (Group B) of the program will participate in separate, tailored programs to suit their needs with the second year program building on the 2019 program.
Group A (1st Year Graduates)
- 24 - 25 February 2020: North Days 1 & 2 GANSGT
- 26 - 27 February 2020: South Days 1 & 2 GANSGT
Group B (2nd Year Graduates)
- 24 - 25 February 2020: North Days 1 & 2 GBNSGT
- 26 - 27 February 2020: South Days 1 & 2 GBNSGT
7-12 Science Collaboration Network 2020 SCNT101
This is a 2-day course worth a total of 9 NESA accredited hours. Participants MUST attend both days to receive accredited hours. The Science Collaborative Network will focus on refining programs and assessment practices for the new Stage 6 Science courses and investigating new approaches to Stage 4 assessment.
