The Catholic Schools Office (CSO) as from the beginning of Term 1 2022, will operate using a new organisational structure. This redesign of teams and leadership aims to better align capabilities to meet school needs.
Attn: Leadership Teams, NAPLAN Coordinators, Class Teachers Years 3,5,7 and 9
The 2022 NAPLAN Timetable of events, due dates and additional information are provided in the attached Memo 2/22/6250 for your attention.
The Arts Matters Workshop is designed as a Professional Learning opportunity for teachers to build skills and knowledge to engage students in the power of art and scripture. Through the use of photographic silk screen print and prayer stories, students are empowered to share their story and build confidence in their art abilities. David Ogg who has been an educator for over 50 years, is a former Leader of Learning, Visual Arts within the Diocese and designs and facilitates the workshops.
Please use this link to submit an Expression of Interest for the Arts Matters Workshop at your school in Term 2 or Term 3. Expressions of Interests close on Thursday 17 March 2022 (Term 1 Week 7).
This year promises to be an active one for the Shared Future Program implementing significant changes to our structure, systems and governance. For a quick recap of our journey and a look at our key objectives for this year, please see this (brief) presentation on the intranet.
NAIDOC Week 2022 will be held from Sunday 3 July to Sunday 10 July.
This year’s theme – Get up! Stand up! Show up! – encourages all of us to champion institutional, structural, collaborative, and cooperative change while celebrating those who have already driven and led change in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities over generations.

The Graduate Formation Program supports conditionally and provisionally accredited teachers and their Mentors. The decision has been made to postpone Day 1 and Day 2 of the Graduate Formation Program to ensure continuity of staffing in February within schools. New dates will be communicated when details are confirmed. If Graduate Teachers or their Mentors need assistance or advice in the interim, please contact the Regional Mentor Coordinator or dio-taa@lism.catholic.edu.au.
ClickView is available for all schools across the diocese. As you were previously informed by email on 27 January 2022 the Diocese of Lismore has written to the Independent Education Union to confirm the commencement of bargaining for a new Enterprise Agreement for staff covered by the NSW & ACT Catholic Systemic Schools Enterprise Agreement.
Please find attached a Notice of Employee Representational Rights (the 'Notice') for employees to be covered by the proposed Agreement.
You will also find the Notice on the Intranet at this link.

Staff are advised the introduction of the NSW Child Safe Scheme came into force on 1 February 2022. This scheme embeds the 10 Child Safe Standards recommended by the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse in the Children’s Guardian Act 2019 to guide child safe practice in NSW.
This means certain child-related organisations including those in the Education, Early Childhood, Health, Community Service and Youth Justice sectors, must implement the Child Safe Standards, along with local councils, religious organisations providing services to children and sport and recreation organisations providing services to children.
Schools will be provided with more information regarding the Standards over the coming months.
Staff are reminded to register for all professional learning courses through the My Learning site. The site has the facility to recommend courses to others. This will be potentially useful for Principals and Assistant Principals who wish to recommend staff to register for particular courses.
Staff are reminded that the closing date for courses is five working days prior to the course.
To register, please visit My Learning.
