Students, graduates and adults will soon have access to tailored career advice through the establishment of Careers NSW, a new service announced by the NSW Government.
When fully operational, Careers NSW will provide a wrap-around service to:
- connect people to accessible and quality career guidance
- advise on educational pathways and qualifications that match people to the skills they need to be employed faster
There are quite a few staff who have a Working with Children Check coming up for renewal over the next two to three months because this was the original “phasing in period” for existing staff. In particular, with the holidays coming up, please make sure that you apply online at the Office of the Children’s Guardian early (it can be completed as early as three months prior to your expiry date without affecting the date). Remember the actual process will not begin until you have been to a Service NSW, presented your identification documents and paid for your application.
Once you have received your new expiry date, you can advise your new details to the Catholic Schools Office via this link https://form.jotform.co/80798498515879
Teachers must also update NESA via eTAMS.
Information on employment opportunities within the Diocese of Lismore are available via Positions Vacant.
