My Learning
The new Catholic Schools Office (CSO) intranet will be launched at 9am, Monday, 17 August, therefore, there will be no intranet available from 4pm Friday, 14 August. This is to allow the transition between the two platforms.
The attached image shows you the landing page where you will be able to access your email, Helpdesk, newsletters and other frequently used areas. The 'New Intranet Features' page gives you instructions on how to set your favourites and how to use the search function. As new areas and functions are added, they will be highlighted on this page.

The CSO Study Scholarships are available for twenty-five places each semester for the two BBI – TAITE in-house units as well as ten online scholarships. Full-time and part-time contracted staff are encouraged to register an expression of interest. See attachment for full details.
The 6–12 September is National Child Protection Week. This year’s theme is ‘Putting children first…’.

Virtual Classrooms Activity For Australian Catholic Schools

This is designed for students in Years 3-6 to empower students to manage their own online safety.
Students will have an opportunity to:
- consider what privacy and personal information means;
- develop an understanding of what an online ‘stranger’ can be;
- explore strategies and skills to secure accounts; and
- learn where to go for help and support

Kidshelpline have created comic books,videos, tipsheets and an infographic to use in your classroom. Resources are for primary and secondary aged students.
Please note that the Assisted School Travel Program (ASTP) timelines have changed this year for 2021 transport applications for students with disabilities. The new closing date for new 2021 applicants has been brought forward to Friday 25 September, 2020.

We would like to invite schools to contribute student artwork for display at the Catholic Schools Offices in Lismore at Presentation House, Coffs Harbour Annex and Invercauld House, Goonellabah. Each school may contribute eight original art pieces. The artwork will be catalogued in a booklet and distributed to Lismore diocesan schools, parish offices and national Catholic School Offices.
Please complete the 2020 Semester 2 CSO Student Art Display Expression of Interest by Monday 17 August (Term 3, Week 5) to enable Jan Seymour to coordinate the collection of art from your school before Friday 4 September (Term 3, Week 7).
In accordance with the requirements of the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012 (Act), Diocese of Lismore Catholic Schools Office lodged its annual public report with the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (Agency) on 29 July 2020.

Online TeachMeet - Discerning the 'New Normal' Post COVID-19, 2020 20CSO-OTDTN
Educators from across the diocese are warmly invited to participate in a series of online TeachMeets which will provide the opportunity to share their reflections on the Voices in the Field Report. The online conversation will facilitate collaborative reflection on the feedback provided by educators about their experiences during the blended learning period. The purpose of the process is to evoke new thinking to shape learning and teaching into the future. This discernment process will be used to inform the yet to be written Recommendations section of the Voices From the Field Report.
