The attached memo provides the latest advice from the Australian Government, regarding Student Attendance, as provided to Principals recently. The use of codes in our Diocese continues to remain the same as previously advised.
How does your school recognise artistic flair?
Our Diocese wants to celebrate the creative talents in our children.
Have you given your students an opportunity to share their artistic creativity?
You can involve your school in the Catholic Schools Office (CSO) art display which is curated for the CSO Presentation House Lismore, CSO Annex Coffs Harbour and Invercauld House Goonellabah.
Would you like your student’s art shared nationally in the Student Art on Display catalogue?
This catalogue goes to all schools and Parishes in our Diocese and Australian Catholic Schools Offices.
We are especially requesting your involvement if you haven’t participated in this program. Please consider contributing.
Easy to do:
- Select 8 artworks either 2D or 3D
- Label-name, year level, title, materials used, inspiration
- Delivery-arrangements can be made by contacting Jan Seymour
Please complete this form 2020 Semester 2 CSO Student Art Display Expression of Interest by Monday 17 August (Term 3, Week 5) so that Jan Seymour can coordinate the collection of art from your school before Friday 4 September (Term 3, Week 7).

Please note the change to the Stage 2 Mathematics: Digital Technologies Workshops to online workshops for stage 2 teaching teams within your own school.
This online professional learning is for Stage 2 teaching teams to engage in learning to support the embedding of digital technologies in the learning and teaching of Mathematics. It is expected that one or more of the participants will be able to guide other staff in their schools through this learning after the workshop. If a school would like a 'knowledgeable other' other to attend (eg. LOP or Digital Technologies Leader, STEM Leader) they are welcome.
The dates to participate in this course are fixed. Please register for your cluster on My Learning.
The purpose of this course is to provide professional learning and support to school leadership teams to co-construct and maintain a current whole school approach to the learning and teaching of Mathematics. The course guides you through the co-construction of your schools shared beliefs, understandings and agreed practices to continue to improve student outcomes.
If you are revisiting your shared beliefs, leaders can dip in and out of the course according to their professional learning needs and the needs of their school community.
