A message from Peter Shergold, the Chair of the NESA Board.
NESA has altered the requirements for the Major Work Multimedia – Short Film.
The film will not be examined.
Instead, students will submit their rationale and any supporting documentation that elaborates on their directorial vision, production and post-production decisions or intentions for external marking.
This can include:
- shot list.
- storyboards.
- script.
- photos of location(s) and other visual elements (including up to 3 minutes of previously shot and edited footage).
- edited soundtrack.
- marking guidelines will be adjusted to accommodate this change.
Students who have chosen Multimedia-short film can change to an option that is not affected by these changes. The change must be made in consultation with the teacher by 5 June 2020.
The requirements for all other Major Work forms remain unchanged.
Leaders of Curriculum and Collaborative Network Leader for English have been notified of this amendment.
